What have our filmmakers been up to lately?

The Paula Rhodes film Missed Connection has been running in the Moviefone Short Film Festival ,and was looked into for optioning by Michael Eisner's company. Her stars Dan and Kyle have been picked up by CAA to produce webisodes of their project The Exploding Pajamas. Paula adds "Thinking of making a film for this fest? Do it."
Owen Hammer, who made Negative Reinforcement and Counter Productive, has had another of his short films, The Vinyl Battle, win Best Comedy at the 2006 San Diego Comicon. It can be screened at www.vinylbattle.com.
Craig Kuehne has also been busy. His film Staged, Raged and Engaged made it as an official selection on Triggerstreet.com's Online Short Film Festival. It was also an official selection of the 2006 Action On Film Festival in Long Beach. Longtime Listener was an official selection at the Egofest Film Festival (www.egofestival.com) in 2006. The Highest Bidder won 1st place in the MacMovieMaker.com's first short film contest. Auditions was an official selection at the Brewvies 1st Film Festival in Salt Lake City. Dead Wrong was a featured short on Veoh.com. Threshold, directed by John Parenteau and edited by Craig, is being shown as part of the HDFest Film Festival. He also finished editing In and Out, as short film directed by John Parenteau. When not making films, Craig and John also podcast Framed (www.framedpodcast.com) for filmmakers by filmmakers.
Mark Nelsson, director of ‘Molcule’, ‘Untitled Violent Movie’ and ‘Homeland Insecurity’ has had his “15-years-in-the-making” short mockumentary ‘Hollywood Folklore: Mick Donald’ make it as official selections in the Emerging Filmmakers Project in Denver, Colorado, and the MOCKFEST Film Festival. And, in sad news for men everywhere, Amy Earhart (star of 48 Film Hour 1&2, Fish Guys, Doubleshot and the famous Pink Five series) has gotten hitched. Congratulations Amy & Terry!
